CNC Global Launches CNC Global Connect at COMDEX Canada 2001
Leading Edge, Proprietary Recruitment and Workflow Management
System Will Speed Technology Hiring, Contain Costs
TORONTO, Canada - July 11, 2001 - CNC Global Limited, Canada's largest full-service technology staffing firm, today announced the launch of CNC Global Connect, a leading-edge proprietary recruitment and workflow management system designed to help clients across North America attract and retain top quality technology professionals with greater speed and efficiency. The system was launched today at COMDEX Canada, the nation's premier technology showcase event. At a time when Canada's Software Human Resources Council reports that more than 50 per cent of employers have difficulty finding the technology workers they need, the launch of CNC Global Connect signals added value for hiring managers faced with shrinking recruitment budgets and persistent demands for skilled resources.
CNC Global has now invested close to $2 million to develop the industry's most robust candidate resourcing infrastructure. Drawing on two decades of experience, the firm designed and developed CNC Global Connect completely in-house. The new Web-based system allow the company's 160-person recruitment and service team to attract, search for, screen and submit selected candidates quickly and easily anytime from virtually any desktop.
The system was built using the latest Microsoft development tools and runs on Windows NT and SQL Server. The application will soon be ported over to Windows 2000 as part of the company's larger technology infrastructure renewal, which includes the deployment of enterprise-grade redundant servers, a gigabit Ethernet backbone and wireless networking technology. While product will not be made available on the market at this time, CNC Global clients will benefit from the added velocity and quality assurance CNC Global Connect brings to the process of acquiring high-tech workers.

This is achieved through an easy-to-use career management interface, available online for candidates who register at cncglobal.com. Both active job seekers and potential candidates interested in tracking opportunities can complete a detailed profile, including information about their current skills, work experience, and career preferences. Based on the data provided, the system automatically generates a customized selection of jobs, updated every 24 hours. Technology professionals using the system can review, store and apply for multiple opportunities quickly and easily with a single click 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To date, the system has captures over 225,000 unique profiles, with approximately 4,500 new candidates coming in monthly.
